Fully Field Serviceable
Sentek EnviroSCAN probes are fully serviceable in the field. Sensor positions can be adjusted as needed, and components replaced without affecting the integrity of the data. The probe has locator pins to ensure its orientation remains the same each time it is inserted into the access tube. Each sensor is individually air and water normalized to ensure that if it is replaced on the probe, there is no jump in the data.
Other fully sealed, slurry installed probes must be completely removed and returned to factory for service and replaced with a completely new installation. In this case all set critical soil moisture thresholds such as Full Point, Refill Point and Onset of Stress are lost. With Sentek probes, you have peace of mind that you will receive ongoing data with minimal disruption through the critical periods.
